Governorship elections have been postponed in two Muslim dominated Nigerian states affected by deadly riots and retaliatory violence after Christian President Goodluck Jonathan won the polls.The Chairman of the country's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega yesterday deferred elections in northern states of Bauchi and Kaduna from April 26 to April 28 just after Jonathan made an announcement that polls would go ahead in spite of the uprisings.
Johnson defeated General Muhammadu Buhari, a Muslim after a presidential election held last Saturday.At least 200 people were killed and thousands displaced in post-election.
