Ekocorp Plc, owner of Eko Hospital, has announced the death of one of its pioneer Directors, Chief Fredrick Adekunle Cole, after a brief illness. He was aged 72.
The late Cole is survived by children and grandchildren.
The company’s Secretary/Legal Adviser, Abdulmumeen Ayinla, said burial arrangements will be announced later.
The late cole was born on June 19, 1938.
He attended London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London and Harvard Business School in the United States (US).
He was the pioneer House Governor/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) and later University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
The late Cole served on various boards and committees including the Head of State Panel on Re-organisation of Nigerian Teaching Hospitals and Experts Committee on Medical Care and Training.
